Nutrolin Senior
Nutrolin Senior
Support for the elderly
-
Supports the mobility, brain function and mood of an aging dog.
-
As a dog gets older, its body's defense mechanisms weaken.
-
Prolonged low-grade inflammation and oxidative stress put a strain on the body.
-
The omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil protect the aging body from inflammatory reactions, and the antioxidants, vitamin E and ubiquinone (Q10), from oxidative stress.
-
Visible changes brought about by omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants in an older dog include improved joint mobility and mood.
They also support heart and kidney function.
Did you know?
The omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin E in fish oil enhance kidney function in dogs suffering from kidney failure. When ubiquinone (coenzyme Q10) is added to this mixture, it has also been found to support the well-being of dogs suffering from heart failure.

An old dog needs support
The joy of life and the joy of movement that are typical of dogs are also the right of an old dog. As a dog ages, it often feels like its joy of life decreases and the joy of movement disappears. The reason is the ailments associated with aging and the changes they cause in the body: chronic, low-grade inflammation and oxidative stress. Oxidative stress refers to a state of the body in which there is an imbalance between the factors that oxidize cells and those that protect them from oxidation. Proper nutritional support helps an aging dog maintain its functional capacity.
Safe oil supplement
Nutrolin® Senior's omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E and ubiquinone support the aging dog's body. The combination of omega-3 fatty acids and antioxidants helps the dog more effectively than these nutrients alone. The quality and shelf life of fish oil are of paramount importance for an aging dog, as oxidized oils unnecessarily burden the body's natural antioxidant defenses. The methods for preserving Nutrolin® oils have been developed over the years to be increasingly effective. This is why Nutrolin® Senior was the best-preserved oil preparation in a study conducted by Professor Charlotte Jacobsen and her team at the Technical University of Denmark in 2015.
Suppress chronic inflammation in the body
Aging is associated with chronic, low-grade inflammation in the body, which affects the dog's ability to function in many ways. As a result, the dog's joints wear out and muscle mass decreases at an ever-increasing rate. The function of the energy factories of the muscle cells, the mitochondria, in old dogs weakens. This is partly due to the harmful effects of oxygen radicals (i.e. oxidative stress) and partly because there is not enough ubiquinone in the body. A young dog produces enough ubiquinone in its body, but as it gets older, the production of ubiquinone, or Q10, decreases. Ubiquinone is both a coenzyme and an antioxidant. As a coenzyme, it catalyzes the production of energy in cells. As an antioxidant, it protects cells from the harmful effects of oxygen radicals that are produced during energy production.
Real omegas, vitamin E and ubiquinone in one
Nutrolin® Senior is a nutritional oil that contains fish oil, vitamin E and ubiquinone. The combination supports the body of an older dog in many ways. Thanks to its exceptionally diverse omega-3 and antioxidant content, Nutrolin® Senior is a good nutritional support treatment for dogs of all ages suffering from heart failure. According to studies, the combination of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin E and ubiquinone in fish oil supports heart function (Freeman et al. 1998, Sagols & Priymenko 2011)
